Chelsea Shines

Hey all,

Just wanted to give some PRAISE to GOD for all he is doing.  I know how many of you are praying and I know the ENCOURAGEMENT it gives all of us to SEE our prayers being answered. GOD IS SO FAITHFUL!!!

Chelsea is progressing SO MUCH faster than anyone predicted.  Her spirit and determination is SO STRONG!  She is walking, practically by herself, getting herself ready in the mornings, practically by herself, putting her shoes on and TYING them, BY HERSELF!  PRAISE GOD!!!

Her speech is getting better by the day, although that is the area she needs the most work.  She still is having some trouble with some names and words but it is getting better.  The biggest thing we need EVERYONE to continue to pray about is her eye.  Her right eye is still closed and that, obviously, is causing her great difficulty in her therapy.  It is HEALING and we just need to continue to Praise the Lord for what HE is doing in her.

She is starting to have more and more memories.  We were going through her camera yesterday and there were some pictures of a trip we took to Vegas in September.  On one of the pictures she saw us together and said “Thats the night you just wanted to play poker all night.”  She was exactly right, that night she was upset with me because she wanted to go out but I ended up playing poker too long.  So she not only remembered the trip, but how she felt about a certain night on the trip.   That was a very encouraging moment for  me.

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS.  Please pray that GOD will give Chelsea peace about getting better.  She has been VERY PERSISTENT EVERYDAY about going home.  She says she just wants to go lay in her bed with her cats!  She can’t understand WHY she can’t go yet so that is upsetting her quite a bit!

Please pray for my arm, that it heals properly and I don’t have to have anymore surgery!
